Home and Hospital Clergy Visits

If you or someone you know is ill or hospitalized and would like to be visited, our priest is available to visit home-bound and hospitalized parishioners who seek spiritual support and guidance during difficult times.

Requiem Service (Hokehankist)

Parishioners can request a requiem service for their departed loved ones every Sunday at the Church Office. Please note that in accordance with the Canons of the Armenian Church, Requiem Services may not be performed on the five major feast days: Armenian Christmas, Easter, The Feast of the Transfiguration, The Feast of the Assumption of Holy Mary the Mother of God, and The Feast of Exaltation of the Holy Cross.

Special Prayers

Our Priest prays for all the faithful during the Sunday Divine Liturgy, and can also offer prayers for specific intentions (health, etc.) upon request.

Baptism

According to the Armenian Church Canons, baptism may only be performed once in a person’s lifetime, provided such baptism has been performed in a Christian Church and in the name of the Holy Trinity. At least one of the godparents must be a member of the Armenian Orthodox Church. Please try to schedule your baptism ceremony at least two months in advance by calling the church office. The office will provide the parents additional details and forms at that time.

Weddings

All weddings are to follow the Cannons of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church and must be performed in the church sanctuary which has been consecrated for the celebration of these sacred rites. Parishioners are asked to please contact the church office at least four months prior to the desired date of the wedding to confirm availability of the Priest and sanctuary prior to making any other wedding arrangements. The Church Office will make all necessary arrangements for the deacon, organist and soloist, and will provide the couple with additional details and forms. Weddings may not take place on Sunday mornings, during Great Lent or Holy Week, or on the following five major feast days: Armenian Christmas, Holy Easter, The Feast of the Transfiguration, The Feast of the Assumption of Holy Mary the Mother of God, and The Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.
