About the Instructor:
We are thrilled to welcome Marine Mkhitaryan, a distinguished Armenian dance instructor, to our church community. With decades of experience, Marine has performed with the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia and taught at renowned schools, including Eurnekian School and Etchmiadzin N4. A graduate of the Khachatur Abovyan Armenian State Pedagogical University’s Dance Art program, she brings passion, expertise, and innovative teaching methods to inspire a love for Armenian song and dance.
This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to learn, have fun, and celebrate Armenian heritage together! Details about day and time will follow soon.

29 Jesus replied, “I will ask you one question. Answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. 30 John’s baptism—was it from heaven, or of human origin? Tell me!”
31 They discussed it among themselves and said, “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ he will ask, ‘Then why didn’t you believe him?’ 32 But if we say, ‘Of human origin’ …” (They feared the people, for everyone held that John really was a prophet.)
33 So they answered Jesus, “We don’t know.
2 Corinthians 13:5-13
New International Version
5 Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you unless, of course, you fail the test? 6 And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.7 Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. 8 For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. 9 We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored. 10 This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith.”
(2 Corinthians 5)
St. Paul helps the believer to renew and strengthen the spiritual life restoring it with the right way. He says: “Your restoration is what we pray for.” We want you to be complete. We want you to be mature. All that we are doing is to bring you to that completion. The completion that St. Paul talks about is possible only by remaining with God. As the Saint reminds us first we should pray for our restoration.
We need to go back to God, we need to cleanse our body and soul to be worthy children for God which should be done only
through prayer. It is Paul’s desire that these Christians would do right and not do wrong. It is his fervent prayer that they see himself as true to God and that they will behave in a manner that shows they are true to God.
The apostle Paul exhorts us to examine ourselves.
Self-examination is important in all areas of life, especially in
spiritual matters. We must examine ourselves to ensure we are truly in the faith, as it is possible to be self-deceived.
We must examine ourselves to gain assurance of our faith, as some Christians lack assurance and joy. We must examine ourselves, not just our beliefs. We must look for signs of life and the fruits of faith.

Եկեղեցական ավանդության համաձայն՝ Դիողետիանոս (243-313թթ.) կայսեր հալածանքներից խուսափելով՝ Ս. Հռիփսիմյանց կույսերը փախչում են Հայաստան: Կույսերից Ս. Հռիփսիմեն իր պարանոցին կրում էր Քրիստոսի Խաչափայտից մի մասունք:
Կլավդիոս կայսեր կինը՝ Պատրոնիկե թագուհին, այն ստացել էր Երուսաղեմի առաջին եպիսկոպոս Հակոբ Տյառնեղբորից, երբ Ս. Պետրոս առաքյալի քարոզությամբ ուխտի էր գնացել Հռոմ: Եվ քանի որ Հռիփսիմեն սերում էր Կլավդիոս կայսեր տոհմից, Խաչափայտի մասունքը ժառանգաբար փոխանցվել էր նրան:
Ս. Հռիփսիմեն Խաչափայտի մասունքը պահում է Վարագա լեռան քարայրներից մեկում՝ վախենալով, որ այն կընկնի հեթանոսների ձեռքը:
653թ. Վարագա լեռն իրենց ճգնության վայր են ընտրում Թոդիկ ճգնավորն ու իր աշակերտ Հովելը: Սուրբ Նշանը գտնելու փափագով նրանք խիստ ճգնությամբ, տասներկու օր ծոմ պահելով, արտասվելով և ջերմեռանդ աղոթքներով, Տիրոջից խնդրում են, որ իրենց արժանացնի տեսնելու և համբուրելու փափագելի Նշանը: Մարդասեր Աստված, Ով միշտ կատարում է Իրենից երկյուղածների կամքը, տեսիլքով նրանց հայտնում է մասունքի տեղը: Այն ճգնավորներին երևում է խաչանիշ պայծառ լույսի տեսքով, լուսեղեն տասներկու սյուների մեջտեղում, որոնցից բաժանվելով՝ բարձրանում է սուրբ Սեղանին, որի առաջ աղոթում էին ճգնավորները: Միաժամանակ խաչանիշ լույսից ձայն է լսվում. «Քրիստոս հաճեց բնակվել սուրբ Նշանի մեջ՝ Հայոց աշխարհի պահպանության և փրկության համար»:
Ի հիշատակ Վարագա Ս. Խաչի երևման հրաշքի՝ Ներսես Հայրապետը տոն է սահմանում և տասներկու լուսե սյուների երևման վայրում եկեղեցի կառուցում և տոնից առաջ հնգօրյա շաբաթապահք սահմանում:
Holy Cross of Varak

The Feast of the Holy Cross of Varak falls within the Season of the Cross and is an observance unique to the Armenian Church. It is the celebration of the discovery of a true piece of the Cross on which Jesus was crucified.
In the 3rd century, Saint Hripsime and her companions, fleeing persecution, brought a relic of the Holy Cross to Mount Varak and left it to the local priests for protection. The location of the relic remained unknown until the 7th century when a monk by the name of Totig had a vision of a cathedral with twelve pillars on the summit of Mount Varak. In the midst of the cathedral was a radiating cross, which then slowly descended down the mountain and rested over the altar of the monastery of Varak. Totig and his student Hovel rushed to the church and found that the vision revealed the location of the relic of the Holy Cross that Saint Hripsime entrusted to the priests centuries earlier. Catholicos Saint Nersess the Builder certified its authenticity and ordered that the Armenian Church dedicate the third Sunday of the Cross to venerating the Holy Cross of Varak, although today, the location of the relic remains unknown
Վարագա Սուրբ Խաչ
Վարագա Սուրբ Խաչի տոնը իր պատմական նկարագրությամբ հույ-սով է լցնում հավատացյալ մարդու հոգին: Այն հավատացյալին զինում է համոզումով, որ Աստված լսում ու Իր ողորմածությամբ պատաս-խանում է աղոթքներին:
Նախ Սուրբ Հռիփսիմեի կերպարի միջոցով մենք լցվում ենք խորը հվատքով ու պաշտամունքի զգացողությամբ դեպի Քրիստոսի Խաչը: Սուրբ կույսի ունեցած նվիրումը Խաչի նկատմամբ` զգաստացնում է մեզ, դեպի սրբություններն ունեցած մեր հավատքի ու պաշտամունքի մեջ:
Նա իր կյանքի մի հանգրվանում մեծ դժավարությամբ հրաժարվում է մասունքը կրելուց` այն պահպանելու և սերունդնբերին անվնաս փո-խանցելու միտումով, որն իրագործվում է դարեր անց:
Վարագա Սուրբ լեռան պատմությունը անդադրում հավատքի ու աղոթքների արդարացման վկայություն է սփռում հավատացյալի հո-գում, որում մենք ընթերցում ենք այն մասին, որ Թոդիկ ճգնավորն ու իր աշակերտ Հովելը` Խաչի փնտրտուքի ճանապարհին բազում տառապանքների միջով անցան, արտասվելով ու հացելով Տիրոջ օգնականությունը Խաչը գտնելու և համբուրելու համար:
Եվ ի վերջո նրանց սպասումնրն արդարացան, որովհետև անկեղծ ու մաքուր էին իրենց աղոթքները: Շատ դասեր կան ուսանելու այս գեղեցիկ տոնակատարության խորհրդի մեջ:
Նախ նվիրում, հետո համոզում հավատքի մեջ, խոնարհաբար հավատարմություն՝ մեր մեջ աստվածային ներկայության, աղոթքի զորության գիտակցում, վստահություն Աստծո ողորմածության հանդեպ, անսպառ համբերություն, խիզախություն տոկունության մեջ, սրբությունների նկատմամբ անվերապահ պատկառանք, առաքինության բացառիկ դրսևորում և այլն:
